Helping visual dyslexia

Mathew the optometrist has an interest in visual dyslexia, as he and son Sam are both dyslexic. We have purchased an intuitive colorimeter - a piece of equipment that can determine the exact tint that is needed on lenses to help visual dyslexics and some migraine sufferers.

New shop displays with new ranges

We have recently updated our shop displays and have a number of exciting new ranges in stock:

  • Converse, Lacoste, Pineapple, Henleys, Hackett
  • Charmant Line Art, the lightest titanium frames on the market
  • Pinfeel 2 with patented unique rimless technology and virtually unbreakable lenses

Petite Range

Another exciting addition to our ranges is a range specially for the smaller woman that are more stylish than the children's glasses that you may have had to live with in the past. Pop into the shop to take a look.

Larger range of contact lenses

There is now a much larger range of Contact Lenses, particularly to correct astigmatism and for varifocal wearers, including the NEW Acuvue Oasys for Presbyopia. Most people can now have the choice of wearing contacts, so if you couldn't get them in your prescription in the past, chances are you can now - please ask.

Sports Vision Diploma

Mathew has recently gained a Sports Vision Diploma. This specialist field teaches sports men and women to train their eyes to perform better at their sport to compliment the training they do for the rest of the body. The England Rugby Union and Cricket Teams have benefitted from such training, and this looks like a field that is likely to expand.
